RUBY MAY STAINE Was
born in LA CEIBA HONDURAS, she had several brothers and sisters,
attended school and had to work at a very young age.
She got married and had 4 children and raised a niece as
her own. RUBY was the back bone of her family, her mother
depended on her. She took care of countless nieces, nephews,
friends and even strangers. As long as there was a need she
was helping.
She came to LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA and brought her entire
family. All who was willing and able to come helped many others
to come as long as it was within the government regulations.
She was able to fit into her busy schedule time to attend
school, acquired her high school diploma and her nursing credentials.
|
| She became a member of an elite woman
's club, "THE TIFFANET SOCIAL AND CHARITY CLUB". She
was very dedicated to their charities and some of her own. RUBY
and her husband owned and operated a large bakery in LA CEIBA.
After moving to LOS ANGELES she started a very successful business
with one of her daughters for many years. She was a very good
cook and always had a nourishing meal to give to someone, especially
a child. |

When her finances
were low she would purchase fabric and make clothes and other
items to give away. To sit at her sewing machine and sew a
bunch of clothes in no time was no problem. She was such a
confident seamstress. She never gave a second thought to doing
something for someone and was always willing to help. Always
full of energy, she was a loving mother, aunt, cousin and
sincere friend.
RUBY MAY STAINE (also known as ELSIE
WRIGHT) always made a commitment to giving needy children
by buying materials from her own money and making quilts and
pillows for the rescue mission. |
She made great donations to her church and others as well, as often
as possible and sent or took donations to Honduras.
RUBY passed away on December 19, 1996. My sister and I continued
her work. We decided to take it to another level with the cooperation
of Clifford McDonald and Michael Garcia (grandsons) and Vanessa
Staine (granddaughter).
Your cooperation by any means of donations or contributions to
our charity work is greatly appreciated.
